A Look At the College Football Week Ahead

Miami vs. Ohio State
It's a big game for both of these teams. Ohio State many have at number two going into the college football season and own the number two ranking in the AP Poll. Miami is a popular dark horse pick. The Buckeyes defense is too much for Jacory Harris. He has options- Leonard Hankerson and LaRon Byrd- but who is the running threat in the backfield? Cameron Heyward will costantly annoy Harris.
Georgia vs. South Carolina
Both had very impressive opening games. But I think it comes down to the quarterback situation. Young quarterback vs. Steve Spurriers deep list of guys that include Christian Garcia? Plus the Game Cocks' back Marcus Lattimore the huge freshman had a big game against Southern Mississippi and should have another strong one. I'm also worried for the Bulldogs without their star receiver A.J. Green.
Florida State vs. Oklahoma
I think Oklahoma is a little overrated at this point. The don't have a necessary good defense and even though I think Landry Jones will improve, but can he be a Sam Bradford? Christian Ponder has the skill to have a big day with a good offensive line led by Rodney Hudson helping him out. Greg Reid may be an every down player but his main skill is special teams.
Penn State vs. Alabama
Yeah Penn State can possibly beat Alabama. But do they have a big chance? No. Even if Ingram doesn't play Trent Richardson is a still very good back. Greg McElroy will have to do what he always does. Move the chains but let the running game do the work. He has a big play receiver-Julio Jones. Evan Royster should be the main concern for the Crimson Tide. Can the down Alabama defense stuff him up?
Notre Dame vs. Michigan
I think that these franchises will take a big step forward this season after taking major steps back the last few seasons.Michigan has a very, very fast quarterback Denard Robinson who will beat up a pretty weak Irish D. But the Irish have more talent. If Dayne Christ is okay- which should be easy, he has two top options in wide out Michael Floyd and tight end Kyle Rudolph- the Irish have a chance at winning. Armando Allen is a good back/
