1. Purdue Boilermakers Key Player:E'Tuwan Moore, if Moore can continue what he's doing Purdue will dominate.

Duke Beats Maryland,Uconn beats Notre Dame

Last night on January,24th,2009 Duke beat Maryland big in ACC play. Why the big deal? Duke obviously made their case for the top team in the nation, well at least they did in my mind. If Kyle Singler and Jon Scheyer stick together Duke will be mentioned as a team that will win the championship. But do I think Duke can win it all? Maybe. But I don't think Duke is there yet.

Also last night Uconn ended Notre Dame's home winning streak. But Irish fans shouldn't worry. I think Luke Harangody is a player of the year canidate. Plus Kyle McAlraney and Torri Jackson are amazing perimeter shooters. Watch out for Uconn and Notre Dame.

Time To Draft!

Time to get serious about the NFL draft. This is a HUGE post all about the draft.
Well in one of my earlier posts Draft Storylines I gave you my number one pick(Matthew Stafford) so now we have to talk about after that. Andre Smith will go to the Rams simply because a good o-line will help the Rams weak pass game. Many experts like Josh Freemen at about 20th or so but I like Freemen in the Top 10. Why? Freemen is a big QB that's not afraid to be hit which I like. Others that might move up are: Percy Harvin(even if he's injury prone) and Knowshawn Moreno. Mark Sanchez will impress scouts also. Well at least he has alredy impressed me. But betraying Pete Carrol hurt his status with scouts. Anyways enough about offense let's talk D. I like another USC player on D. Who? Linebacker Brian Cushing. He's a big hitter and I love big hitters. Well that's a post, but don't worry I'll write alot more about the draft.

Who Is The Best Team In The ACC

Their are 3 teams in the ACC that are making news. They're Duke,UNC and Wake Forest. But, who is the best?
Well, when Duke plays Wake Forest on Wednesday,January 28th,2009 we may know a little bit of the puzzle. Plus Wake beat UNC which will help their status in the ACC. To figure out which is the best we need a ACC tournament. So I predict what the ACC tournament will look like:
First Round
Duke vs. NC State Winner:Duke,80-65
Wake Forest vs. Maryland Winner:Wake Forest,87-69
UNC vs. Virginia Tech Winner:UNC,79-68
Clemson vs. Virginia Winner:Clemson,77-68
Miami vs. Florida State Winner:Miami,70-65
Georgia Tech vs. Boston College Winner:Boston College,69-63
Second Round
Duke vs. Boston College Winner:Duke,84-70
Wake Forest vs. Miami Winner:Wake Forest,83-73
UNC vs. Clemson Winner:UNC,78-75
Semifinals
Wake Forest vs.UNC Winner:Wake Forest,89-84
Championship
Duke vs. Wake Forest Winner:Wake Forest,85-80

Another Number One Team Falls

On January 21st,2009 Wake Forest fell to unranked Virginia Tech in a big ACC upset. Wake Forest is not the only to fall that's number one. First UNC to Boston College, next Pittsburgh to Louisville. But don't worry fans all these teams will rebound. UNC looked great against former 9 ranked Clemson and Pittsburgh will bounce back with Sam Young and LeVance Fields leading the team.Listen fans next number one ranked team that falls might not bounce back.

Draft Storylines

Questions for the draft:

Q: Why should Mark Sanchez leave USC?
A: Matt Leinart stayed at USC after winning the Heisman. He dropped from a possible 1 to about 11th. He'll advise Sanchez t leave. And Sanchez will listen.

Q: Who is your number one draft pick?
A: Josh Freemen is tempting at that spot. But Matthew Statfford is my number one.

Q: If Tim Tebow left Florida which round would he go in?
A: Probably 3rd round. Why? Tebow loves running. Tebow you're a quarterback! He needs to improve his passing skills.

Q: How come nobody is talking about Andre Smith anymore?
A: Smith got suspended in the days leading up to the Sugar Bowl which hurt his status in the draft but people should be talking about Smith as a possible number one

My Solution To The BCS

The BCS is so crowded teams can't help but feel left out like Texas and Utah. My solution to it is to have the top 8 teams play in a playoff and the rest play bowls so teams like Texas and Utah can have an equal chance. So I predict what 2009 will look like if this system was used.

1 Florida vs. 8 Texas Tech Winner: Florida,31 Texas Tech,17
2 Texas vs. 7 TCU Winner: Texas 37, TCU,24
3 USC vs. 6 Oklahoma Winner: USC,42 Oklahoma,27
4 Penn State vs. 5 Alabama Winner: Penn State,38 Alabama,24
1 Florida vs. 4 Penn State Winner: Florida,34 Penn State,27
2 Texas vs. 3 USC Winner: Texas,41 USC, 28
National Championship
1 Florida vs. 2 Texas Winner: Texas,35 Florida,24

Underrated Quarterbacks

Dan LeFevour, Central Michigan
LeFevour is like Tim Tebow. He can run, pass and more. If LeFevour was in a more known conference he might be a Heisman Trophy candidate.
Rusty Smith, Florida Atlantic
Smith is probably one of the best QB's in his conferences history. But he is like LeFevour.
Zac Robinson, Oklahoma State
Robinson is a decent runner and he has great passing ability.Plus he is in a good conference in the Big 12.

Top10 College Football Teams

  1. Florida
  2. Oklahoma
  3. Utah
  4. Texas
  5. USC
  6. Alabama
  7. Penn State
  8. Ohio State

  10. TCU

ACC, Will It Be A Mystery Again

The ACC was a mystery last season in college football now I look at some big name teams weak and strong spot.

UNC: Weak: Uncertainty at the QB position. T.J. Yates or Cameron Sexton?
Strong: Both QB's have talent.

Virginia Tech: Weak: Uncertainty at the QB position. Tyrod Taylor or Sean Glennon?
Strong: Strong D.

Boston College: Weak: Dominique Davis is overrated.
Strong: Montel Harris has great ability.

Florida State: Weak: Bobby Bowden is not as skilled as he use to be.
Strong: Christan Ponder has talent.

Fiesta Bowl Predictions

My Prediction:Texas,49 Ohio State,31

Key Player for Texas: Brian Okrapo, Defensive End
If Okrapo can get pressure on either Todd Boeckmen or Terrell Pryor both will have troubles.

Key Player for Ohio State: Chris Wells, Running Back
Wells has had a down year but he will want to impress NFL scouts so he will run his heart out.

How the stars will do:
Colt McCoy, Texas, 4 touchdowns,263 yards
Jordan Shipley, Texas, 1 touchdown,97 yards
Terrel Pryor, Ohio State, 2 touchdowns,154 yards
Chris Wells, Ohio State, 2touchdowns,171 yards

Utah Beats Alabama!

Utah,31 Alabama,17

So some of you might of thought I was crazy for picking Utah to beat Alabama. But Utah secured a win and finished 13-o. Now I look at next season were Utah and Alabama will finish.

Alabama: With John Parker Wilson leaving that is a big drop off but Julio Jones can make plays no matter who the quarterback is. A Top 10 finish is an obvious possibility.

Utah: Problems may strike the Utes because Brian Johnson probably will leave the team. That is big because Johnson was the star of the team. Can he be replaced? Kyle Bowen may make that a yes but the Utes will NOT finish 13-0 period.
