What To Watch Starting Week Three
The Big East needs to improve. Cincinnati one of the many favorites is now 1-2 after last night's loss to a tired but still undefeated NC State team. Maybe Zach Collaros isn't going to fall right in line like Tony Pike did. Plus Pittsburgh's loss to Utah in week one and UConn's loss to Michigan proved it's going to ber a crazy season. Denard Robinson is playing great and it helps that he dominated over two quality opponents-UConn and Notre Dame- but it's still a long season. The only ranked matchup this week is going to be Arizona against Iowa. Look for Iowa to pull ahead but it might be an offensive battle. Virginia Tech's defense is the reason they are 0-2. We knew it wasn't as good as it was last season or even the years before that but it needs to play better. They still have a chance at a ACC Championship bid with Miami and Georgia Tech also losing. Out in the Big Ten the Minnesota Gophers may decide to put out Tim Brewtser. Brewster is yet to win a bowl and the Gophers suffered a 41-38 loss to South Dakota. LSU has one of the best players in the nation in wide receiver Russell Sheppard. He can also play quarterback and running back. In fact, he was drafted as a quarterback. Oklahoma proved that week one's close call win 31-24 over Utah State was just a fluke killing the Seminoles. Sleeper team: Air Force. Beating BYU helped a lot after the Cougars were just coming off a win over Washington.
