- Javon Ringer, Michigan State -- Ringer's power and stamina make him a lock for number one. Michigan State fans should be chaning his name at the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
- Shonn Greene, Iowa -- Green's toughness and ability definitely make him a member of this list.
- Donald Brown, Conecticut -- Brown isn't big but surprises opposing defenses with his ability ot shake off defenders.
- Knowshown Moreno, Georgia -- Moreno has patience for the play to develop which is a gift few runningbacks have. His speed is another advantage.
- Jacquizz Rogers, Oregon State -- Rogers is the real deal. He can make plays with his feet and his hands.

Rambling Runningbacks
I was asked to name my top 5 runningbacks for this year's college season They are:
Next Year's Burning Questions for College Football
Who are my top 5 teams?
Q: Will Tennessee be any better without Phillip Fulmer?
A: Depending on the coach that replaces Fulmer. If it's Lane Kiffin Tennessee will have some problems. Anybody else, who knows how good Tennessee will be.
Q: If Joe Paterno leaves Penn State, how good will they be?
A: Paterno is a Hall of Famer. If Paterno leaves, Penn State will obviously be a little worse, but don't Penn State fans your team won't be too bad the worse they can do is 7-5 in my opinion but that is still a big drop off.
Q: Will Oregon State have another surprise season?
A: Possibly, it all comes down to Jacquiz Rogers the running back. If there is a problem, don't expect Oregon State to be in the top 25 polls. I expect a finish just like this season, (right now Oregon State is 8-3 until they face Oregon on November 29, 2008).
Q: Who will be the Heisman Trophy Winner?
A: Who knows, it's left wide open next season, but I like Tim Tebow. I think Florida will grab the number one spot next season and Tebow will be the leader of it all.
- Texas
- Florida
- Oklahoma
- Alabama
- USC
- Boise State
- Penn State
- LSU
- Tennessee
- Northwestern

Heisman Trophy Predictions
Well Colt McCoy is a top candidate with his great passing efficiency. But Graham Harrell is another candidate with his passing yards and wins. But since he has lost to Oklahoma big, I think you should pluck him out. Sam Bradford doesn't' match the honor of the Heisman Trophy.
For the running backs include Javon Ringer a great power runner, and then I think Shonn Greene is a great speed and power runner. Maybe you can even count Knowshawn Moreno in the in the trophy race.
Some receivers to watch are amazing Michael Crabtree with his ability to make plays. Maybe even Jordan Shipley of Texas could be put into the race with his speed and stamina. But it comes down to Colt McCoy vs. Javon Ringer and I like McCoy with his ability to make plays happen. Colt McCoy is your Heisman Trophy winner.

My BCS Prediction
Well since Texas beat Oklahoma, Texas Tech beat Texas and Oklahoma State you think Tech has the game locked, but Oklahoma beat Texas tech. So it's Oklahoma and Texas ath the top;. Any you have to include Alabama as the beat Georgia. So you have Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma. But there's Florida who beat Georgia and South Carolina impressively. And other teams that were in the talk at the start of the season like Ohio State and USC both have lossess so pluck them out. Penn State is a possiblility buth the lost to Iowas which hurts them. Since their schdule hans't been to complicated I don't think their odds are great. How do you sort out the mess?
Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State will help. If Oklahoma State wins pluck Oklahoma out. And Florida vs. Alabama will help a lot. My predictions are Oklohoma will beat State easily. And I like Florida to beat Alabama. That leaves Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma. Texas Tech had a complicated schedule so pull them in. If Florida beats Alabama they should be in the BCS Championship game automatically. So then it comes down to Florda vs. Texas in the BCS Championship game. Texas will bear Florida I believe in a close game. So Texas is your number one team and National Champion.
