NBA Draft Grades

1. Cleveland Cavaliers Anthony Bennett, SF
Anthony Bennett
Although this was surprising it does make a lot of sense. The Cavs need some help at the three and four and rebounding and with Bennett they get it. Grade: B+
2. Orlando Magic Victor Oladipo, SG
Orlando made a little stretch here with Oladipo but it is a smart pick. He gives them athleticism and physicality on the wing something the Magic really lacked last year. Grade: B
3. Washington Wizards Otto Porter, SF
John Wall and Brad Beal aren't great shooters so that was something the Wizards wanted to address. Porter can hit the three and with his size he can play a number of positions. Grade: A-
4. Charlotte Bobcats Cody Zeller, PF
Everybody is ripping this pick and for good reason. Zeller isn't psychical and isn't a good shooter plus he doesn't have the potential Noel and McLemore have, who were both available at this spot. Grade: D+
5. Phoenix Suns Alex Len, C
For years the Suns have really lacked a dominant low post threat. With Len they gain one who has loads of potential. Grade: B
6. New Orleans Pelicans Nerlens Noel, PF (rights traded to Philadelphia)
Noel was a steal here at six but trading him was the real steal. The Pelicans traded off Noel, who is a risky player for Philadelphia's budding star Jrue Holiday who will form a great core with Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon. Grade: A
7. Sacremento Kings Ben McLemore, SG
McLemore was just one of a number of players who dropped in this draft. The Kings picked him up here hoping he can be the next Ray Allen. Grade: B+
8. Detroit Pistons Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, SG
With Caldwell-Pope, a former Georgia star, the Pistons get guaranteed scoring. He has a ton of potential but their might have been smarter options here. Grade: C
9. Minnesota Timberwolves Trey Burke, PG (rights traded to Utah)
The T-Wolves picked up Burke here clearly with the intention of trading him as they already had a great point guard in Ricky Rubio. Both Shabazz Muhammed and Gorgui Dieng are great picks making this a good move. Grade: B+
10. Portland Trail Blazers C.J. McCollum, PG
Portland definitely wanted a guard in this draft but I have questions about if McCollum and Damian Lilliard will be able to play each other. Both need the ball in their hands to be effective making this pairing a risk. Grade: C
11. Philadelphia Sixers Michael Carter-Williams, PG
With Jrue Holiday off to New Orleans the Sixers got an immediate replacement in Michael Carter-Williams. He uses his huge body to bully guards in the paint and should make an impact immediately. Grade: B-
12. Oklahoma City Thunder Steven Adams, C
Adams has the potential to be the future at the center position for the Thunder but right now he is raw. The Thunder just saw the potential and have the depth to help Adams develop. Grade: C+
13. Dallas Mavericks Kelly Olynyk, C (rights traded to Boston)
The Mavericks ended up with Shane Larkin and they definitely needed him. So this pick to get Larkin was a smart one. Grade: B
14. Utah Jazz Shabazz Muhammed SG/SF (rights traded to Minnesota)
This Muhammed selection helped the Jazz land Trey Burke who is by far the best point guard in this draft. That is very important to a team that has had a huge weakness at point for a long time. Grade: A
15. Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Adetokunbo, SF
The Bucks snatch up this big, long forward that can contribute on the wing immediately. He has a ton of potential and could fit in with Milwaukee. Grade: B-
16. Boston Celtics Lucas Nogueira, C (rights traded to Atlanta)
The Brazilian big man would have been a nice pick for Boston but he will begin his career in Atlanta. The Celtics end up with Kelly Olynyk who is a very polished player. Grade: B
17. Atlanta Hawks Dennis Schroeder, PG
Schroeder will remind a lot of people of Rajon Rondo, an extremely good playmaker and very quick. With Jeff Teague a possible free agent he could start right away. Grade: A-
18. Atlanta Hawks Shane Larkin, PG (rights traded to Dallas)
This pick helped Atlanta pick up Nogueira who has the potential to be a star. Though that is just potential and their may have been some better options that fit the Hawks' system better. Grade: C
19. Cleveland Cavaliers Sergey Karasev, SF
Cleveland continued to work on their forward play with the addition of the Russian Karasev. Karasev is versatile, athletic and can nail the long ball meaning he should push for playing time from the get go. Grade: B
20. Chicago Bulls Tony Snell, SF
The future of Luol Deng in Chicago is in question and the Bulls need some help at the three. Snell has a lot of scoring potential and is a tough player someone that can fit well in Tom Thibodeau's system. Grade: A-
21. Utah Jazz Gorgui Dieng, C (rights traded to Minnesota)
Dieng is a lot like Nerlens Noel; he is a great shot blocker and rebounder and has an evolving offensive game. So the T-Wolves grabbing him this late is a small steal. Grade: B+
22. Brooklyn Nets Mason Plumlee, PF/C
Other than Brook Lopez the Nets' frontcourt is a weakness even if Kevin Garnett turns into his old self. Plumlee gives some much needed athleticism and rebounding. Grade: B
23. Indiana Pacers Solomon Hill, SF
The Pacers have made some agressive picks in the past but this one might have been too long of a stretch. Hill doesn't have the shot or athleticism to play full-time at small forward but he is too small to play power forward. Grade: C-
24. New York Knicks Tim Hardaway, SG
Last season the Knicks had shooting but it wasn't smart shooting due mostly to inconsistent and erratic J.R. Smith. Hardaway should be a much better overall player than Smith at shooting guard. Grade: B+
25. Los Angeles Clippers Reggie Bullock, SG
The Clippers know that they need some help to step over the hump and be a championship contender. Whether Bullock, a guy with a ton of potential, can be that guy is a big question. Grade: C+
26. Minnesota Timberwolves Andre Roberson, SF (rights traded to Oklahoma City) The Thunder have found a talent here with Roberson a good leader who had a great career at Colorado. Grade: B
27. Denver Nuggets Rudy Gobert, C (rights traded to Utah)
The Jazz pick up another big man to go along with a number of developing ones including Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors. The massive Gobert has the potential to be a dominant shot blocker in the NBA.
28. San Antonio Spurs Livio Jean-Charles, PF
This was a definite surprise but it is hard to fault any pick the Spurs make with what they have done in the past decade. Jean-Charles' future is unknown but he has the talent to become a solid pro on Amercian courts. Grade: C+
29. Oklahoma City Thunder Archie Goodwin, SG (rights traded to Phoenix)
Goodwin probably doesn't deserve to be a first round pick but Phoenix needs help everywhere. Goodwin can score but in order to improve he needs to become a better player at point. Grade: C
30. Phoenix Suns Nemanja Nedovic, SG (rights traded to Golden State)
The Warriors ended up with a talented, smart guard out of Serbia with Nedovic. He can be a solid player behind Klay Thompson, though he may not come to the NBA for a couple years. Grade: B-

NBA Mock Draft Edition 4

Alex Len
1. Cleveland Cavaliers Alex Len, C
Where did this come from? The Cavaliers are starting to question Noel and Len's physical gifts are just so impressive the Cavs can't pass up on him.
2. Orlando Magic Ben McLemore, SG
Orlando was really terrible across the board a year ago and they need help everywhere including shooting. Ben McLemore, who looks like the next Ray Allen should definitely help.
3. Washington Wizards Nerlens Noel, PF
Emeka Okafor and Nene  are the current starters in Washington. Both are old and aren't getting any younger. If Noel drops to three it will be tough for the Wizards to resist him.
4. Charlotte Bobcats Otto Porter, SF
Although the Bobcats choose Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with last year's lottery pick they pick up another swingman in Porter. With his set of skills he can play a number of positions at the next level.
5. Phoenix Suns Victor Oladipo, SG
The Suns lacked excitement and youth last season which is exactly what Oladipo gives them. A team might trade for Charlotte's number four pick and pick up Oladipo but the Suns need him here.
6. New Orleans Pelicans Trey Burke, PG
The Pelicans could use some help with Anthony Davis in their frontcourt but it will be tough to pass up Trey Burke who will remind many New Orleans fans of Chris Paul.
7. Sacremento Kings Anthony Bennett, SF/PF
With a move to Seattle possibly on the horizon the Kings need this pick to count. A fantastic, big rebounding forward, Bennett brings star potential immediately.
8. Detroit Pistons C.J. McCollum, PG/SG
McCollum may be a stretch here at eight but the Pistons really need some more backcourt scoring help which is what the proven scorer McCollum gives them.
9. Minnesota Timberwolves Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, SG
Ricky Rubio gives the T-Wolves a great passer while Caldwell-Pope gives them a scoring guard.
10. Portland Blazers Steven Adams, C
Adams is unproven but NBA prospects love his size and rebounding ability and the Blazers who now have a great guard in Damian Lilliard, need both.
11. Philadelphia Sixers Lucas Nogeira, C
We don't know if Andrew Bynum will even ever play in Philadelphia so the Sixers pick up a talented Brazilian who can remind a lot of people of Javale McGee in Nogeira.
12. Oklahoma City Thunder Michael Carter-Williams, PG
The Thunder's biggest weakness is definitely depth in the backcourt so they use this lottery pick to pick up guard Carter-Williams who is one of the best passers in this year's class.
13. Dallas Mavericks Cody Zeller, PF
Dallas will probably trade away this pick but if they keep it they will likely pick up a forward. Cody Zeller despite some issues, is really the best available forward.
14. Utah Jazz Dennis Schroeder, PG
Utah is looking for a franchise point guard something they haven't had since Deron Williams left. Schroeder is an extremely quick German point guard who can be that franchise guard.
15. Milwaukee Bucks Shabazz Muhammed, SF
The Bucks have a lot of scoring in the backcourt but they need some help on the wing. Muhammed dropping here would be a great scenario for Milwaukee.
16. Boston Celtics Shane Larkin, PG
Rajon Rondo isn't a great shooting guard so the Celtics pick up Larkin who is rising up draft boards because he can nail the three.
17. Atlanta Hawks Kelly Olynyk, C
Olynyk is a very polished scorer but he could drop in the draft boards because of his average size and lack of a mid range game.
18. Atlanta Hawks Sergey Karasev, SG/SF
The Russian swingman will give the Hawks some wing help, something that they haven't had in a long while.
19. Cleveland Cavaliers Mason Plumlee, PF
It would be an amazing draft for the Cavs if they landed both Len and the talented Plumlee dropped all the way to Cleveland at 19. Plumlee is versatile and a double-double machine that is more mature than Len.
20. Chicago Bulls Rudy Gobert, C
Other than Joakim Noah the Bulls lack a dominant low post presence. Gobert, a 7-2 French center could immediately fill that need.
21. Utah Jazz Giannis Adetokoubo, SF/PF
The Jazz should address their need for a point guard with Schroeder at 14, then pick up Greek product Adetokoubo who should provide quality minutes at the three and four.
22. Brooklyn Nets Tony Snell, SG/SF
Behind Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace the Nets have very little depth at shooting guard and small forward. Enter Snell a very athletic player who can score at either.
23. Indiana Pacers Gorgui Dieng, C
Imagine how much the Pacers would dominate the paint if they picked up the big, defensive minded Dieng here to go along with Roy Hibbert.
24. New York Knicks Tony Mitchell, SF/PF
In order to take the next step the Knicks need some more scoring help down low to go along with their strong three-point shooting. Mitchell, a gifted forward from North Texas can definitely score in the post.
25. Los Angeles Clippers Allen Crabbe, SG
The Clippers need some help with their shooting on the wing. Crabbe, who won't have to travel far from college ball at California, has a silky jump shot.
26. Minnesota Timberwolves Tim Hardaway, SG
The Timberwolves don't really have a proven three-point threat. Hardaway, who can also spend time at small forward may be the best shooter in the draft this year.
27. Denver Nuggets Glen Rice Jr., SG
Glen Rice has been slowly rising up draft boards and the Nuggets will really need a shooting guard as Andre Iguodala looks to be moving on. He will give Denver an athletic, 6-6 talent.
28. San Antonio Spurs Isaiah Canaan, PG
Although Tony Parker looks like he is never going to age the Spurs need to think about the future. Canaan can drop 30 every game and should be a quality backup to Parker until he moves on.
29. Oklahoma City Thunder Ricardo Ledo, SG
Ledo could remind a lot of Thunder fans of a young James Harden; extremely athletic and a proven scorer.
30. Phoenix Suns C.J. Leslie, PF
Leslie may be a stretch here but he is one of the best forwards available and the Suns have been weak in the frontcourt for a while.

NBA Mock Draft Edition 3

Nerlens Noel
1. Cleveland Cavaliers Nerlens Noel, PF
With Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters the Cavaliers scoring backcourt is fine. Now, they work on their frontcourt by adding the excellent shot-blocking Noel.
2. Orlando Magic Ben McLemore, SG
The Magic may be the least talented team in the NBA. They need help everywhere including their backcourt where they lack shooting.
3. Washington Wizards Anthony Bennett, SF/PF
Much like the Cavaliers, the Wizards backcourt is fine with improving stars Brad Beal and John Wall.  They work on their frontcourt where they are relying on aging vets Nene and Emeka Okafor.
4. Charlotte Bobcats Otto Porter, SF
Charlotte was one of the worst shooting teams in the league last year so they pick up Porter, who is a great shooter and has the size to fill a number of roles.
5. Phoenix Suns Victor Oladipo, SG/SF
Oladipo will bring some life to a Phoenix team without much excitement surrounding them. He also brings a physical defender to build around on the wing.
6. New Orleans Pelicans Trey Burke, PG
Greivis Vasquez is a quality player but he isn't talented enough to be a NBA starter. If Burke is more consistent he could turn into the best player in this draft.
7. Sacremento Kings Shabazz Muhammed, SF
With a weak fan base and little scoring help, the Kings need Muhammed here even if it is a little bit of a stretch.
8. Detroit Pistons C.J. McCollum, PG/SG
Detroit is looking to return to their glory years and with McCollum, they have the guard that can take them there. With his scoring ability and mid-major background, he will remind many of Damian Lilliard.
9. Minnesota Timberwolves Alex Len, C
If Len falls all the way to the T-Wolves here it would be nearly impossible to resist the 7-1 center from Maryland. Plus, the addition of Len will free up Kevin Love to play power forward full time where he is more comfortable.
10. Portland Blazers Kelly Olynyk, C
The Blazers have a solid team at the moment and are just waiting for Lilliard to develop and others to step in so Olynyk has time to develop, which he'll need. Although he had an excellent year for Gonzaga last year he still has some holes in his game.
11. Philadelphia Sixers Cody Zeller, PF/C
Although I have already expressed my concerns about Zeller (short wingspan, weak mid range game) the Sixers need some frontcourt help and who knows maybe Zeller could be their guy.
12. Oklahoma City Thunder Michael Carter-Williams, PG
Carter-Williams, a massive 6-5 point guard with great passing ability and an evolving shot needs some time. Behind a healthy Russell Westbrook he will get just that.
13. Dallas Mavericks Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, SG
Time isn't on the Mavs' side as Dirk, Shawn Marion and Vince Carter will soon be gone. They need this pick to count, so Caldwell-Pope should be their guy. Although inconsistent at Georgia he has scoring ability only matched by Muhammed and Burke in this class.
14. Utah Jazz Dennis Schroeder, PG
The Jazz have a ton of issues for a team that barely missed the playoffs. The German Schroeder brings plenty of risk but his quickness should help him in the NBA.
15. Milwaukee Bucks Mason Plumlee, PF
The Bucks backcourt looks pretty solid but they need some help up front. Plumlee is an athletic, double-double machine who has proven he can play well around big names (Austin Rivers, for example).
16. Boston Celtics Dario Saric, SF/PF
Kevin Garnett is done soon and the Celtics enter this draft looking for a replacement. The huge, gritty 6-10 Saric from Croatia is hopefully that guy.
17. Atlanta Hawks Steven Adams, C
It appears that the Hawks will move away a lot of last year's playoff team. They are going to need a center for the future and they are hoping Pitt's Adams could be a building block. He disappointed at Pitt his freshman year but has the tools to improve.
18. Atlanta Hawks Lucas Nogeira, C
If Adams isn't a building block, the seven-foot Brazilian Nogeira could be. Other than his size, Nogeira is athletic and has the raw potential to be successful.
19. Cleveland Cavaliers Giannis Adetokubo, SF/PF
International talent is at a premium in this year's draft with every team hoping they have landed the next Dirk. The Cavs pick up Noel, then help him out with a Greek forward in Adetokubo.
20. Chicago Bulls Tony Mitchell, PF
Chicago lacks depth and needs all the help they can get up front with Carlos Boozer appearing to be on the decline. A forward from North Texas, Mitchell may not end up being a superstar but he will be a quality player for years to come.
21. Utah Jazz Tony Snell SG/SF
The Jazz fill a need by picking up Snell, a big imposing guard/forward hybrid with a fantastic jump shot.
22. Brooklyn Nets Gorgui Dieng, C
Dieng has proven to be an effective rebounder and shot-blocker at Louisville and has nowhere to go but up in the NBA.
23. Indiana Pacers Sergey Karasev, SF
Yet another International star, Karasev could end up reminding a lot of people of a Russian Reggie Miller with his great jump shot. Though, Karasev is a little bit rough around the edges.
24. New York Knicks Rudy Gobert, C
New York isn't very young anywhere and the team may take a look to the future soon. A French product, Gobert could be a solid player some day for New York.
25. Los Angeles Clippers Erick Green, SG
I'm really high on Green, a Virginia Tech star who can score any time he touches the ball. And it is clear that the Clippers have a lot of areas to improve after an early exit.
26. Minnesota Timberwolves, Tim Hardaway, SG
Although Alexey Shved is a great shooter, Minnesota would love Hardaway here if he is available. They would love his shoot and great size at the shooting guard position.
27. Denver Nuggets Shane Larkin, PG
It was a mistake for Larkin to go pro this year. He doesn't have an NBA body and he forces shots. But, he should fit in well with Denver's system.
28. San Antonio Spurs Allen Crabbe, SG
The Spurs appear to be looking for their future shooting guard (assuming Danny Green doesn't replace Manu) and Crabbe, a talented guard from Cal, should do the trick.
29. Oklahoma City Thunder James Ennis SG/SF
If the Thunder have any holes in their starting lineup, it is probably at the shooting guard position where Kevin Martin doesn't appear to be a long term fix nor Jeremy Lamb. Ennis, a 6-7 wing player, should be a long term fix.
30. Phoenix Suns Jamaal Franklin, SG
After picking Oladipo the Suns continue to work on their backcourt by selecting San Diego State guard Jamaal Franklin who is a great athlete.

NBA Mock Draft Edition 2

1. Orlando Magic Ben McLemore, SG
With J.J. Reddick gone the Magic shooting is very weak. So they pick up McLemore, the three-point sniper who is an immediate scoring threat.
2. Cleveland Cavaliers Anthony Bennett, SF
I think the Cavs know Alonzo Gee nor C.J. Miles is the answer at small forward meaning the big rebounding Bennett will be.
3. Charlotte Bobcats Nerlens Noel, C
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has improved the Bobcats' weak frontcourt. But, their center position is an issue especially with Bismack Biyombo struggling so Charlotte picks up another Kentucky product in Noel.
4. Phoenix Suns Otto Porter, SF
The smart passing, high-scoring Porter is a perfect fit into the Suns' system. He should be the Suns' star from the very beginning.
5. Sacramento Kings Alex Len, C
Victor Oladipo
The inconsistent Demarcus Cousins may never live up to his potential so the Kings pick up the high potential Len to become their beast in the post.
6. Detroit Pistons Kelly Olynyk, C
Olynyk is a risk here this high but the Pistons should love the versatility and efficiency of Olynyk. Even if he has some struggles who wouldn't love a seven-footer with some scoring potential?
7. New Orleans Pelicans Trey Burke, PG
Burke is the best available point guard in this year's class and the Pelicans really need him. They need somebody to get the ball to Anthony Davis in the post and would love his three-point shot.
8. Minnesota Timberwolves Victor Oladipo, SG/SF
The T-Wolves have really missed on wing players (Wes Johnson, Corey Brewer) but they won't miss on the psychical Oladipo.
9. Washington Wizards Shabazz Muhammed, SF
There is a lot of risk involved with Muhammed, who needs the ball in his hands constantly but John Wall should get him the ball as much as possible.
10. Philadelphia Sixers C.J. McCollum, PG/SG
Lehigh product McCollum is an elite scorer already and should remind a lot of people of last year's mid-major scoring threat Damian Lilliard.
11. Portland Trail Blazers Cody Zeller, C
I have a ton of reservations about Zeller who disappointed a lot of people in his sophomore year. His short wingspan could keep him from being a center but he could fill a need at power forward.
12. Oklahoma City Thunder Michael Carter-Williams, PG
If you haven't been watching the playoffs the Thunder are very weak without Russell Westbrook. The stacked Thunder have a lot of time to develop Carter-Williams who needs to work on his shot.
13. Dallas Mavericks Dario Saric, PF
The Mavericks are very close to complete rebuild mode. They should pick up Croatian talent Saric to replace the aging Shawn Marion.
14. Utah Jazz Rudy Gobert, C
The future of Al Jefferson in Utah is definitely in question meaning the Jazz pick up Gobert, a 7-1 French beast who has a lot to work on.
15. Boston Celtics Mason Plumlee, PF/C
It is unknown whether Kevin Garnett will be pick for next season so the Celtics pick up 6-10 Mason Plumlee who can play both power forward and center well and adds rebounding and scoring help.
16. Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Adetokoubo, SF/PF
Milwaukee has a lot of natural talent but a lot of holes to fill. It is time for another International product to step in, in Adetokoubo who has a lot of solid potential.
17. Atlanta Hawks Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, SG
The complete rebuild for Atlanta begins likely this summer and they should build around Caldwell-Pope in the backcourt. In two years at Georgia, Caldwell-Pope showed his scoring potential and considerable skill.
18. Cleveland Cavaliers Steven Adams, C
It looks as though the Cavaliers have figured out their backcourt with Kyrie and Dion Waiters. It is time to focus up front with Adams, a player who isn't polished but is a seven-footer with the ability to dominate on the boards.
19. Atlanta Hawks Lorenzo Brown, PG/SG
Scouts have some questions about Brown and they should after a rollercoaster season at NC State last year. Though the Hawks like what they see in Brown picking him up over German Dennis Schroeder.
20. Utah Jazz Tim Hardaway, SG
We don't know what the Jazz are getting in Colorado's Alec Burks so they pick up Hardaway, a sniper with a lot of size.
21. Brooklyn Nets Gorgui Dieng, C
Kris Humphries is getting way too minutes in the Nets' frontcourt so their new coach (whoever replaces Carleismo) needs Dieng for depth and minutes.
22. Chicago Bulls Lucas Nogeira,C
Brazil star Nogeira gives Chicago a quality center who should back up Joakim Noah early in his career. Though if Noah struggles with injuries Nogeira should be a more than capable center.
23. Indiana Pacers Deshaun Thomas, SF/PF
Thomas has a ton of scoring ability which should be an interesting change of pace for a lockdown defensive team.
24. Los Angeles Clippers Shane Larkin, PG
Sure Eric Bledsoe is a quality backup to Chris Paul but it will be tough for the Clippers to pass up on a talent like Larkin who can hit the three ball as well as anyone in the land.
25. New York Knicks Tony Mitchell, SF/PF
Behind 'Melo the Knicks are pretty weak on the wing. And, Rasheed Wallace retired leaving the power forward position a little bit weak as well.
26. Minnesota Timberwolves Isaiah Canaan, PG
The high-scoring Canaan should add the perfect mix to a backcourt that includes pass-first guards Ricky Rubio and Luke Ridnour.
27. San Antonio Spurs Jeff Withey, C
The Spurs are also close to a complete rebuild and they should start by picking up an elite shot-blocker in Kansas star Jeff Withey. He will learn under Tim Duncan early in his career then should be San Antonio's froncourt star.
28. Denver Nuggets Sergey Karasev, SF
Karasev gives Denver a gritty guard/forward hybrid who should be an intimidating presence on the wing from the very beginning of his career.
29. Oklahoma City Thunder Dennis Schroeder, PG
The German Schroeder helps an improving Thunder backcourt. Schroeder, with his potential could be a steal here for OKC at 29.
30. Phoenix Suns Jamaal Franklin, SG/SF
If Phoenix does pick up Porter with the fourth pick they should look to San Diego State stud Jamaal Franklin here to further strengthen a team that doesn't score too much.

NBA Mock Draft Edition 1

1. Orlando Magic Nerlens Noel, C
The Magic nee some help down in the low post. So they pick up Noel, a guy who has the talent to go first even if he misses most of the year with his ACL injury.
2. Charlotte Bobcats Ben McLemore, SG
Charlotte is one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the NBA so they need the sharpshooting McLemore here.
3. Cleveland Cavaliers Anthony Bennett, SF
It hasn't been since the days of King LeBron that the Cavaliers have had a quality wing player. They pick up Bennett, a fantastic rebounder who can score in the low post.
4. New Orleans Hornets Trey Burke, PG
Shabazz Muhammed
The Hornets are looking for the next Paul and they should find him here with Burke, a speedy guard who can hit the three.
5. Sacremento Kings Alex Len, C
The Kings pick up Len here, a seven-footer from Maryland to form a dominant frontcourt duo with Demarcus Cousins.
6. Phoenix Suns Shabazz Muhammed, SF
Shabazz going here may be a little bit of a stretch but the Suns really need scoring and that is exactly what the young Muhammed brings.
7. Washington Wizards Otto Porter, SF
With John Wall and Bradley Beal it is clear that the Wizards' backcourt is stacked. Now, Washington works on their frontcourt by drafting Georgetown product Otto Porter.
8. Detroit Pistons Kelly Olynyk, C
Olynyk improved mightily last year and has quietly turned into one of the NBA's brightest prospects. If Andre Drummond doesn't work out, Olynyk would be the perfect developmental player.
9. Minnesota Timberwolves Victor Oladipo, SG
A psychical, athletic defender, Oladipo should be the perfect combo to Ricky Rubio at point guard.
10. Philadelphia Sixers Michael Carter-Williams, PG
Carter-WIlliams, a 6-6 point guard should fit in perfectly with the Sixers. He should be the perfect passer to Jrue Holiday's scoring.
11. Portland Trail Blazers Mason Plumlee, PF
The Blazers got a steal picking up Damian Lilliard last year to be the star of their backcourt. Now, they continue to work on their frontcourt by adding Plumlee to play alongside Lamarcus Aldridge.
12. Oklahoma City Thunder C.J. McCollum, SG
James Harden is now, of course, dominating in Houston so the Thunder pick up McCollum to be their future shooting guard.
13. Utah Jazz Rudy Gobert, C
Gobert, a 7-1 center from France should help an inconsistent Jazz froncourt and could be the heir to another big post player, Al Jefferson.
14. Dallas Mavericks Steven Adams, C
Most of this Dallas team is old so they might want a more developed player than Adams. Though Adams, a seven-footer who showed a lot of potential for Jamie Dixon at Pitt last year could fall here.
15. Milwaukee Bucks  Giannis Adetokoubo, SF
The Bucks should pick up a talented Greek forward here in Adetokoubo to help an average frontcourt.
16. Boston Celtics Dario Saric, PF
Kevin Garnett could be done soon along with Paul Pierce so the Celtics pick up a Croatian talent in Dario Saric.
17. Atlanta Hawks Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, SG
Atlanta looks like they could be entering a complete rebuild and their first piece to the puzzle should be Georgia's athletic shooting guard.
18. Atlanta Hawks Shane Larkin, PG
Although Larkin is a little small and could be a very big risk here at 18, the Hawks should take a chance on the scoring threat Larkin here.
19. Cleveland Cavaliers Cody Zeller, C
Zeller really hurt his NBA draft stock in this year's NCAA tournament. He doesn't have much of a mid range game, has a small wingspan and struggles against tough opponents. He will drop, the question is, how far?
20. Chicago Bulls Gorgui Dieng, C
Assuming Derrick Rose comes back and is his old self the Bulls focus on their post. They pick up Louisville's Dieng with this pick.
21. Utah Jazz Tim Hardaway, SG
The Jazz' backcourt isn't getting any younger and Alec Burks is inconsistent meaning they should hop on the fantastic shooting Hardaway.
22. Brooklyn Nets Lucas Nogeira, C
The Nets' get some much needed help from a seven-footer in Nogeira a talent from Brazil to help with some depth.
23. Indiana Pacers Deshaun Thomas, SF
Indiana gets some scoring help on the wing with the extremely talented Thomas who can score no matter at small forward or at power forward.
24. New York Knicks Tony Mitchell, SF
The Knicks may have Carmelo but they need some depth at small forward and power forward after Rasheed Wallace retired. They pick up Mitchell, a North Texas product.
25. LA Clippers Erick Green, PG
Chris Paul gets a quality backup with Green here who can score everytime he touches the ball, which he did while at Virginia Tech.
26. Minnesota Timberwolves Myck Kabongo, PG
Kabongo showed a lot of talent in his two years at Texas so the T-Wolves get some backourt help with him here.
27. Denver Nuggetts Jamaal Franklin, SG
Depth behind Andre Iguodala and Wilson Chandler is needed in Denver and he has the potential to be a future star in the Mile High City.
28. San Antonio Spurs Jeff Withey, C
Tim Duncan isn't a young player anymore meaning the Spurs should pick up Kansas star shot-blocker Withey here, who has too develop more on the offensive end.
29. Oklahoma City Thunder Lorenzo Brown, PG
Russell Westbrook's injury should show how little depth OKC has behind him. Brown struggled this year but he has enough talent to become a future star at the next level.
30. Phoenix Suns C.J. Leslie, PF
Lets see what Leslie, another NC State product like Brown, can do in the NBA. The Suns will test him out with the 30th pick here.
