College Basketball Rankings

1. Kentucky Dangerous team and only undefeated are led by John Wall. And don't forget Patrick Patterson.
2. Kansas Three All Americans, Cole Aldrich, Sherron Collins and Xavier Henry will try to get back to the number one ranking.
3. Texas If guards can help out Damion James and Dexter Pittman the 'Horns will hold out Kansas for the Big 12 title.
4. Syracuse A bunch of dangerous no names include guys like Arinze Onaku, Wes Johnson and Andrew Rauntins.
5. Villanova Scottie Reynolds continues his next step on his fantastic Villanova resume, with a national championship win.
6. Kansas State A win over No. 1 Texas continues the Wildcats surprising season. Watch out for guards Jacob Pullen and Denis Clemente.
7. Michigan State Kalin Lucas is the best bench player in the nation and with Purdue falling it leaves the Big Ten wide open.
8. Tennessee The Vols are having a great season with a hot stretch but sooner or later the loss of Tyler Smith will catch up to them.
9. Duke Loss to NC State hopefully will not sideline them. Jon Scheyer is one of the best guards in the ACC.
10. Gonzaga Matt Bouldin leads a team that isn't great but will be helped out by the weak schedule in the West Coast Conference.
11. West Virginia Amazingly the third Big East team in the Top 11. Devin Ebanks and Bob Huggins have pieces to make a dynasty.
12. Purdue Hope that they will get back in it even with three straight losses. Robbie Hummel has been great even with the losses.
13. Clemson Trevor and Devin Booker will hopefully lead the Tigers past Duke this weekend and become the top ACC team.
14. BYU Will win Mountain West led by explosive play. Another surprising team.
15. Pittsburgh Amazing Pittsburgh is in the Top 25 with last year's losses of DeJuan Blair and Sam Young. Jermaine Dixon is now the leader.
16. Georgetown With guys like Greg Monroe and Chris Wright, the Hoyas have no where to go but up.
17. Temple After the loss of Dionte Christmas, Temple seemed to fall out of the picture. Not yet, though.
18. Georgia Tech It seems Georgia Tech hit it's peak when they beat Duke only to fall again to fall to Virginia. Win against Clemson will help.
19. Wisconsin Beating Purdue's winning streak helped well Trevon Hughes and Jon Leuer are becoming tow of the better players in the Big Ten.
20. Ohio State One of the hottest teams, the Buckeyes try to continue with a win over West Virginia. Evan Turner has been hotter than ever lately.
21. Northern Iowa This team is getting Iowa fans happy about hoops again. Talk about guys like Jordan Eglseder.
22. Ole Miss Terrico White and Chris Warren form a great guard combo well the inside game will help.
23. Mississippi State After high expectations State fell early but have rallied to a strong season with Jarvis Varnado.
24. Butler Butler is a little clone of Mississippi State, starting high and falling down. Matt Howard needs to be a big man.
25. UConn Jim Calhoun hopefully will not be a distraction as UConn looks to beat Texas with big mn Stanley Robinson and Jerome Dyson.
Other vote getters: Baylor, Vanderbilt, New Mexico and Florida State.

Ole Miss Falls, Missouri Rises

Is Ole Miss overrated? The Rebels made a strong case losing to unranked South Carolina 16-10. Ole Miss's offense was horrible and despite a pretty good game by the defense the Rebels went. Meanwhile, Missouri and Blaine Gabbert took down Nevada easily posing that they should earn a chance in the Top 25. But, before they can do that they got to beat somebody.

The Team That No One's Talking About

Want a surprise team? How about underrated team Memphis from C-USA. Memphis has a huge win streak led by guard Tyreke Evans the huge freshmen who is a possible Freshmen of the Year canidate. I believe Memphis will win C-USA easily and with their experience in the tournament the Tigers will be very, very dangerous. The Tigers will be great and make a major run.

College Basketball Top 5 Teams

1.UNC Tar Heels
Two words people think of when somebody says UNC : Tyler Hansbrough. Hansbrough, the leading scorer in UNC history is a lock for coaches who want an inside threat. With Hansbrough the Tar Heels are a lock for number one.
2.UConn Huskies
Hasheem Thabeet is just one of Uconn's superstars. Thabeet is huge which helps Uconn. Star recruit Kemba Walker helps also.
3.Oklahoma Sooners
Blake Griffin is Oklahoma's scoring. The strong center is an obvious canidate for player of the year. And the Sooners are an obvious canidate for the Final Four.
4.Pittsburgh Panthers
Defense is an important part of a team. And the Panthers surely have it. DeJuan Blair and Sam Young do the dirty work well Levance Fields works the perimeter.
5.Duke Blue Devils
Kyle Singler is one of the reasons Duke is number 5. Junior guard Jon Scheyer is another.
